You can search my index by typing in words or phrases in the search box. The search engine will then attempt to find pages which match your request and sort them according to relevance. The pages which best match your request will be listed first in the results.

On each page of results you will also see banner advertisements. If we have any advertisements which are relevant to your request, they will be displayed along with your results. If there are no relevant advertisements, we will display random advertisments along with your results.

If you see an advertisement that interests you, please feel free to click-thru to the merchants website and you can use your back button to return to your search results when you are done visiting their site. Banner advertising is the soul source of income that I receive for running this search engine.

Improving search results

  1. Type the keywords related to what you are looking for in the search box.

  2. If there are words that you absolutely want in the pages returned from your search, put a '+' in front of the word.

  3. If there are words that you absolutely do NOT want to see in the pages returned from you search, put a '-' in front of the word.

  4. If you place quote marks around a phrase, such as "small cars", my search engine assumes that all words in the quotes are necessary. This means that "small cars" is equivalent to +small +cars.

  5. To help you improve your results, after I rewrite your search request into my internal understanding of the request, I display the new version of your search on your results page. You can then see and refine the search if I did not figure our what you really meant by the request.

  6. Searches are always performed left to right. For example if you search for "a b", I will find all pages with "a" in them, then I will add all pages with "b" in them. If you request "a b +c", I will take the previous results and remove any that do not contain "c". If you then request "a b +c d", I add all pages that contain "d" to the previous results, even if they do not contain "c".
