In general, McCane Consulting does not collect, store or disclose personally identifying information except in very specific instances, such as when you enroll as an advertiser, merchant, or customer in one of our Services, as defined below. When we collect such information, the provider will have a choice regarding whether to provide their information, how we will use the information, and to whom it may be disclosed. The situations in which we will collect and use personal information are specifically described below.

McCane Consulting provides several different services. These services include (at this time), RECaLL (located at recall.maxbaud.net), Sellit–Here Online Auctions (located at www.sellit–here.com), and Freenews (located at freenews.maxbaud.net) (the "Services"). The Services may also be located on third party web sites and/or applications. The services are made available by McCane Consulting. McCane Consulting values its users and understands their concerns about their personal privacy. To this end, McCane Consulting engages in consistent information practices and uses its best efforts to make clear disclosures regarding those practices. This privacy policy is part of that continuing effort.

This Privacy Policy applies to collection, use, storage and disclosure of information by McCane Consulting. If there are any exceptions, we will clearly disclose them prior to collecting any information, and will give you an opportunity to choose not to participate or provide the information.

Please be aware that, as part of the Services, McCane Consulting provides links to Web sites operated by third parties, and also provides search results and similar services to third parties for display on their own Web sites or applications. McCane Consulting is not responsible for the information collection or privacy practices or the content of those third party Web sites or applications. Also, please be aware that some of the banner ads on McCane Consulting's web sites are provided by third parties, which may collect cookies as part of the process of serving those ads. (a) Traffic or Clickstream Data. Data about traffic and usage is not personally identifying or identifiable, and is not supplemented or combined with personally identifying or identifiable information. McCane Consulting may share information it collects with certain selected third parties, but only in aggregated, anonymous form. For example, we may tell an advertiser that we had a certain number of visitors or page views to specific areas of our web site. We do provide portions of this aggregated information to all users in the form of our "recent searches" feature. McCane Consulting's web servers automatically collects some information regarding use of the Services, for example, our servers collect information about the site from which you entered our site to enable McCane Consulting to calculate and pay our affiliates, information about the most frequently searched terms to help our advertisers provide the most relevant search results, information about usage to check for fraudulent behavior or other abnormalities and to ensure that our Services are technically superior. In addition to the foregoing applications, McCane Consulting uses the information (in aggregate form) to better design our Services.

This information is not stored or used in connection with traffic or clickstream data and is provided to a third party only as necessary to respond to the comment, problem or request. While you may use Sellit-Here Online Auctions™ anonymously, you must register in order to buy or sell items on the site. As part of the registration process, you will be asked to provide certain information, including contact information and other personally identifying information. Providing some of the requested information is optional. McCane Consulting will use registration information to provide updates, and other business purposes related to making available the features and functions of Sellit-Here Online Auctions™. McCane Consulting also may use registration information to make users aware of new products or special offers or promotions. McCane Consulting will abide by requests from you (in accordance with the procedure below) to discontinue such use. McCane Consulting stores personally identifiable information obtained through registration securely (as described below) and considers it part of the assets of its business. With your permission, McCane Consulting will provide certain registration information to third parties for use in marketing and in designing or providing their own services. Finally, you may choose to provide contact information, other personally identifying information, and demographic information in order to participate in optional surveys or contests, which are run for promotional purposes. McCane Consulting uses such information to send you information about its products and to notify you if you win the contest. Finally, from time to time, but only with your permission, McCane Consulting may provide certain of its users' registration information to selected third parties who wish to participate in special promotions offered in conjunction with McCane Consulting. McCane Consulting will fully comply with any US Government Agency which presents the proper documentation to request specific data. There are certain types of data which in aggregate are not personally identifiable, but which can be used to follow the activities of individuals on our (or any other) web site. For example, every visitor to our site must have an IP (internet) address, and unless special efforts are made by that individual to block their address, we can provide information for specific addresses at specific times (going back to the opening of our web site). This information will also contain what sites a specific visitor came from, and what keywords they searched for. As you can imagine, if the Government can figure out that you were on a site, they can then follow your trail backwards from site to site examining your activities.

In the event that McCane Consulting must contact a Government agency about a users activities, we will provide any and all necessary information that the Government needs during their investigation of our claim. This information would be limited to activity logs and cookie data, unless an individual has signed up for any of our Services.
